About the University of the Ryukyus (Ryudai)

Based on a philosophy inculcated from its beginning as a “land grant university”, the University aims to become an excellent educational research hub in the Asia-Pacific region by demonstrating its strengths and serving as an international center for new academic fields that include tropical climate, islands, marine, and medical research (TIMES; Tropical Marine, Medical and Island Sciences), so as to become “a university that creates a prosperous society for the future together with the local community”.
